Dedicated Helpline Set Up For Commercial Business affected By Recent Floods & Storms

The recent severe weather has caused devastation to businesses across the country and Cedar Dean has produced a guide to assist those that have been affected.

The government has announced a new £10m Business Support Scheme to help flood affected businesses. Businesses that have been flooded and businesses that are in affected areas who have suffered significant loss of trade are eligible to apply for support. Funding may be available for immediate clean-up costs, materials and exceptional costs to help businesses continue trading.

The new Business Support Scheme will be funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) but administered and delivered by local authorities, therefore to access funding you must contact your local council. In addition to the Business Support Scheme the government has announced that it is temporarily providing assistance and relief on business rates.
